Unfettered animation GF-style
Geoff McFetridge (who I featured and interviewed for the Motion Blur: graphic moving imagemakers book), shows how affecting the most simple animation can be when done with grace, good humour, and a red hot pencil. In a world gone mad with motion, this unofficial promo for Whitest Boy Alive's Golden Cage is a music video that gives you the visual equivalent of some much needed breathing space.

Fairtrade in World of Warcraft?
Fantastic use of machinima medium, with this wry video highlighting Fairtrade and the inequities of exploiting farmers/cheap labour from Strange Company. Funny, slickly produced, and gets the message across. Hugh and Johnnie from Strange Company are also currently blogging their activities finishing the Machinima for Dummies book.
